The purpose of Pharmacology is to provide students the basic knowledge of drug-body interaction and therapeutic application, from both basic and clinical aspects. There will be four major clinical categories; drugs for disinfection, drugs on nervous system, antibiotics and antipyretic drugs, and dental pharmacology. In each category, lecturer will focus on the following topics: site of action, mechanism of therapeutic effect, metabolism, side effect and drug-drug interaction.

Course Objectives 

引導學生瞭解藥理學的基本原理以及各類藥物的分類及其在體內的作用機制，以期學生將來在從事臨床工作時能對接觸到藥物有一基本的認識。

Course Conents 

課程內容將先介紹藥理作用、藥物在體內的吸收、分佈與代謝，之後將分敘消毒用藥、局部麻醉劑、抗生素、消炎解熱鎮痛藥、牙科用藥。每一課題會先淺介相關的基礎生理及生化，而藥物部份將注重其（一）藥理機制、（二）副作用與毒性反應和（三）藥物間的交互作用。
